Network Management Policy

Allpoint Networx manages its network in a manner designed to provide a safe, reliable, and high-quality internet experience for our customers. Our network management practices are intended to maintain service quality, address security threats, reduce congestion where necessary, and comply with legal obligations.

1. General Approach

We use reasonable network management practices that are tailored to the technical needs of our network and services. These practices may vary by network technology, service area, service tier, traffic conditions, and security needs.

2. Congestion Management

We may use reasonable measures to manage congestion, preserve network performance, and support fair access to shared resources. Such measures may be applied during periods of unusually high demand or when necessary to protect service quality for customers generally.

3. Security Practices

We may block, filter, rate-limit, or otherwise manage traffic that appears to involve spam, malware, denial-of-service attacks, phishing, botnet activity, unauthorized access attempts, or other harmful or unlawful conduct. We may also take steps to protect customer devices, our systems, and the broader network environment.

4. Performance Factors

Actual speeds, latency, and service quality may vary due to network conditions, customer equipment, Wi-Fi performance, inside wiring, website or application limitations, device capabilities, and other factors outside our control.

5. Data Usage

Our current broadband plans do not include data caps. We do not charge overage fees for broadband usage under our current residential and business broadband offerings, subject to lawful use and compliance with our service policies.

6. Blocking and Throttling

Except as necessary for reasonable network management, legal compliance, public safety, or protection of the network and users, we do not intentionally block lawful content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices. We also do not engage in throttling of lawful traffic except where reasonable network management or security measures make such action necessary.

7. Specialized Services and Service Differences

Some services, technologies, or service areas may differ in network design, performance characteristics, or operational requirements. Performance can vary between fiber and hybrid fiber-coaxial service areas and may also vary by plan tier and customer equipment.

8. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for maintaining compatible devices, secure home or business networks, and properly functioning equipment. Wi-Fi performance is affected by many environmental and device-specific factors and may differ from the wired broadband performance of the service delivered to the premises.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Network Management Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, operations, legal requirements, or service offerings. Updated versions will be posted on our website.
